This isn’t about doing more—it’s about doing it differently.
Let’s unlearn the rules that never fit and build a slower, more aligned way forward.
Hi, I’m Carly.
Slow-living strategist. Former professor. Reformed overachiever.
I help women step away from the rules that never fit—and into a slower, more intentional life that actually feels like theirs.
For years, I did everything “right.” I climbed the academic and corporate ladders, held leadership roles, chased the dream of success... and still ended up exhausted, sick, and wondering if this was really it.
It wasn’t.
The truth is…
I didn’t need more productivity tools.
I needed permission to slow down.
To stop performing.
To build something that worked with my life—not against it.
That’s why I created The Opt-Out Club: a space for women who are done with hustle culture and ready to create a life that fits.
It’s not a course.
It’s not a community with too many threads to follow.
It’s not another pressure-filled plan.
It’s coaching support, quiet guidance, and a soft place to land when you’re navigating what’s next.
What I believe…
You don’t need to hustle harder to find your purpose.
Your slow path is still a powerful one.
Small, intentional shifts can change everything.
Whether you’re navigating burnout, rethinking your path, or just craving something that finally feels true—you’re in the right place.
A little about me…
I’m a Ph.D. with specialties in writing, communication, and games-based learning.
I’ve written books, won teaching awards, and built multiple businesses.
I’m a lifelong learner, reader, movie lover, and gamer—someone who believes joy deserves a place in the story, too.
I’m also a mom, a cancer survivor, and someone who’s learned to honor her energy instead of pushing through it.
And I’ll always meet you where you are—not where someone says you “should” be.

Ready to take your next step?
I’d love to support you inside The Opt-Out Club—or with one of the free resources I’ve created to help you begin. No pressure, no timelines—just a slower, truer way forward.
